Trip Overview & Itinerary

Day 1 – Depart Rochester / Arrive Paris

Depart Rochester for Paris, France.

Day 2 – Paris Arrival & Touring

Arrive in Paris and enjoy a guided familiarization bus tour of the city’s iconic landmarks. Check in to the elegant Hotel du Collectionneur Paris, a five-star Art Deco hotel. The evening features an early dinner at Madame Brasserie Restaurant, located atop the Eiffel Tower (optional evening activities may include additional Paris nightlife or leisure time).

Day 3 – Paris / Embarkation

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and a free morning for independent exploration or shopping. Later, transfer to the port and board the luxury river ship AMADEUS Diamond, marking the start of your Seine River cruise.

Day 4 – Conflans

Begin exploring the Seine with a stop in Conflans, experiencing the charm of riverside France.

Day 5 – Rouen

Discover Rouen, a city rich in medieval history, architecture, and cultural significance.

Day 6 – Le Havre

Explore Le Havre, a UNESCO-listed port city known for its modernist reconstruction and coastal character.

Day 7 – Le Havre / D-Day Excursion

A highlight of the journey: a full-day excursion to the beaches of Normandie, honoring the historic D-Day landings.

Experience the historic sites of the D-Day landings in Normandie on an unforgettable daytrip. The tour begins with as scenic drive through the beautiful Normandie countryside, with a short stop in Giberville to stretch your legs. You will then visit the dramatic cliffs of Pointe du Hoc, a key strategic site during World War II, before continuing to the famous Omaha Beach, where you can take in the historic atmosphere and capture memorable photos. A highlight of the day, is the visit to the American cemetery. A solemn and moving tribute to the soldiers who lost their lives during the D-Day landings, with a guided tour offering deep insights into the history of the area. Lunch is served at the Hôtel de la Marine in Arromanches, offering a relaxing break with stunning sea views.

In the afternoon, explore the Arromanches museum to learn more about the landing operations, or enjoy some free time to wander around the charming town. The day concludes with the return drive to your ship in Caudebec-en-Caux, leaving you with lasting memories of history, emotion, and the striking landscapes of Normandie.

Days 8–9 – Scenic Seine Cruising / Return

Continue cruising along the Seine, enjoying onboard amenities, entertainment, and guided excursions as the journey concludes and returns toward Paris.
