SUMMARY:Virginia Garden Week in Richmond
DESCRIPTION:The Landmark Society will celebrate and highlight one of our 2018 Five to Revive that links historic preservation efforts\, cultural\, community\, and historical significance with live theatre and performance arts; the rehabilitation of the RBTL West Herr Auditorium Theatre. The Masonic Temple\, now known as the RBTL Auditorium Theatre\, laid its cornerstone in 1928\, and was dedicated in 1930. It is one of the most distinctive examples of Art Deco architecture in the city. Molded ornamental plaster walls\, ceilings tiles\, doors\, lamps\, elevator doors\, and other features have the stylized\, streamlined designed typical of the art deco style. The Auditorium Theatre is also the home of a magnificent Wurlitzer 4/23 (opus 1951) theatre organ. This world-famous instrument was built in 1928\, and was rehoused from the RKO Palace Theater\, in Rochester\, NY\, just nearly escaping urban renewal demolition in the 1960’s. We are excited and thrilled to announce this year’s cocktail reception will be held at this unique venue on Wednesday\, May 27th\, 2026\, from 6-8pm. Guests will experience the newly renovated Floreano Room\, enjoy live entertainment\, passed hors d’oeuvre\, charcuterie displays\, beer and wine\, and other fun experiences. Don’t miss this special event! Tickets will be available for purchase online\, beginning April 6th through May 15th at www.landmarksociety.org. Cost $65. Advance ticket sales only; tickets will not be sold at the door.   								\n \n \n \n \n \n \n TICKETS HERE
