ROC the Day Virtual Tour w/Landmark Society
November 22 @ 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM
This year, Genesee Country Village & Museum (GCV&M), The Landmark Society of Western New York, and Rochester Housing Development Fund Corporation are celebrating ROC the Day with a series of virtual events. Our nonprofit organizations play a unique role in preserving our region’s diverse housing stock while creating other critical community impacts.
On three Mondays in November, each organization will host a virtual tour followed by a short trivia challenge and raffle! Registering and attending each tour gets you two raffle entries per event. Prizes include gift cards for Mayer Hardware, Happy Earth Tea, and Living Roots Wine & Co.; a family membership, tickets, and guidebook to GCV&M; tickets to an upcoming Landmark House & Garden Tour, and more!
Make it a happy hour! Living Roots is offering 10% off bottles of wine from November 10th-29th, so you can grab a bottle to go and enjoy it during the virtual tours.
On November 22nd, Landmark will be taking you inside an exceptional Tudor Revival house in Irondequoit. Owner Christopher Brandt is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Landmark Society and a Project Architect at Bero Architecture. He and his wife are painstakingly restoring every inch of their 1928 Master Model Home, with no detail left unattended. You’ll get a tour of the recently completed time capsule kitchen, complete with vintage appliances, restored scored plaster walls, new linoleum tile floor, salvaged light fixture, and original wood cabinetry!
