April Fools’ at Stone-Tolan House Historic Site

April 15, 2018 @ 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM

 * * NOTE: The predicted ice storm may force us to cancel this event; call 442-4606 on Sunday after 11:30 AM for an updated recording on event status * *

Visit the oldest building in the county for our family-friendly April Fool’s tour, and see it as you have never seen it before: the place will be filled with lots of things that don’t belong in the 1815 tavern room, kitchen, and parlor bedroom. Your mission will be to find all the “out of time & place” objects. Some will be easy (a lava lamp in the tavern?) Some will be a bit tough (what is the date on that coin?) …

New this year: in addition to the objects, there will be several guests visiting Stone’s tavern dressed in their 1815 finery – at least, we think they will be historically accurate outfits! You may find some of their garments or accessories don’t exactly fit the time period, too…

This is a great event for adults who want a bit of a history challenge, or for families who want a fun activity. Adult admission is $5, one child admitted free for every adult. If the children outnumber the adults, its only $2 for each additional person under 18.
