Topic: Cultural Landscapes 101: Types, Terminology, & History
Cultural landscapes–cemeteries, gardens, parks, squares, farmland, estates, college campuses, scenic highways and more–are found in rural, suburban, and urban communities throughout our region. Although landscapes can sometimes be overlooked in preservation discussions, they are just as important a part of the built environment as historic buildings and structures. Landscape architect, Ed Olinger, will present an introduction to cultural landscapes.
