Online architectural history class tonight! |

We may not be able to get together in person but we can still enjoy historic architecture together. Our Young Urban Preservationists are partnering with the Rochester Brainery to bring you online versions of our popular architectural history classes. Your purchase supports a small, local business and The Landmark Society! And we hope it offers you a short, entertaining, and educational respite from the Tonight’s class, Crash Course in American Architectural History – 19th Century, takes places online 7:00-8:30 PM. You can sign up on the Brainery’s website right up until the start time. The class will cover how to identify and date the following styles: Federal, Greek Revival, Gothic Revival, Romanesque, Queen Anne, and more! |

Architecture class tomorrow night |

After you’ve had your fill of 19th Century styles, join us tomorrow night (7:00-8:30 PM) for Crash Course in American Architectural History – 20th Century. And don’t worry–there is still plenty of beautiful historic architecture to cover in the 20th century; for those who aren’t fans, it won’t just be mid-century modern. You will learn the names, dates, and characteristic features of styles like, Colonial Revival, Neoclassical, Tudor Revival, Arts & Crafts and Craftsman, American Foursquare, and, yes, some mid-century modern and post-modern styles. |

Preservation Conference Rescheduled |

In response to coronavirus/COVID-19, we rescheduled the NY Statewide Preservation Conference, originally set for March 26-28 in Syracuse. Our rescheduled dates will be Tuesday, December 1 – Thursday, December 3, 2020. The Conference will still take place at the Marriott Syracuse Downtown. Please check the Conference website for details as we make adjustments and plan for the rescheduled event. Thank you for your understanding and flexibility and we hope to see you in December! |
