Scholarships for Monroe County attendees
Due to generous support from the Daisy Marquis Jones Foundation, we are able to offer a limited number of Conference Scholarships to interested attendees from Monroe County. Scholarships cover the full cost of registration. These scholarships do not cover the CAMP training nor do they cover travel or hotel accommodations.
Priority will be given to those individuals with a demonstrated financial need.

CLG Scholarships
Through a partnership with Historic Albany Foundation, the City of Albany will be offering scholarships to municipal staff and those who serve on municipal boards (such as Preservation Commissions, Zoning Boards, and Planning Commissions) in Certified Local Government communities. Scholarships will cover the $75 Pre-Conference CAMP training (on Thursday, 4/27) as well as general Conference registration. Scholarships will be offered on a first come first serve basis.
Preservation Commission Workshop: Thursday April 26, 10:30 to 4:30. Albany Institute of History & Art. The session is National Alliance of Preservation Commission’s nationally recognized Commission Assistance and Mentoring Program (CAMP). This signature program provides engaging and informative training to preservation related boards and commissions of all types through presentations, hands-on exercises, group discussions and networking (mentoring) opportunities via live training. Trainers include preservation professionals, commissioners, local, state and national staff members, attorneys and commission partners.
Scholarship Rules: The scholarship covers both the general registration and the workshop ($170). The applicant must serve an active CLG. Acceptance of the scholarship requires attendance to the Thursday training. Applicants are encouraged to notify the head of the applicable municipal department. There are not travel stipends or reimbursements included in the scholarship. Administration of the scholarship is on a first come-first serve basis. (Attendance to the workshop is available for $75 to any member of the public and is not exclusive to CLG status.)
How to Apply: Please call or send an email to Lisa Crompton at the Historic Albany Foundation. 518-465-2987— lcrompton@historic-albany.org.
