The 2010 Corn Hill Holiday Tour will be held

Beautifully-decked out homes full of holiday cheer are the perfect way to kick off the month of December. The Corn Hill Holiday Tour of Homes, the ever-popular guided tour brought to you by the Corn Hill Neighbors Association (CHNA) and The Landmark Society, has attracted sell-out crowds for years. This year we’re excited to again offer both the traditional tour or an exclusive, enhanced evening Candlelight and Tastings tour. The tour is scheduled for Saturday, December 5, 2009.

As in past years, we will have three tour times from which to choose. The two earlier tours - at either 9 a.m. or 12 p.m. - will remain traditional tours of Rochester’s first residential neighborhood, guided by a Corn Hill resident. Participants will visit private homes decked out in their holiday finery and, as always, a stop for cookie refreshments will be part of the experience. The third tour of the day, The Candlelight and Tastings tour, starts at 4 p.m. and offers the opportunity to enjoy a more leisurely social event as twilight falls over the festively-lit neighborhood. Participants may enjoy mulled wine at one stop, special entertainment at another, hors d'oeuvres or eggnog in another lovely site, and may even be treated with a little something to take home at another stop.

The Corn Hill Holiday Tour of Homes is sponsored by the Corn Hill Neighbors Association and The Landmark Society. Proceeds from the tour support the neighborhood and historic preservation in the wider community. Tickets are $18 for the traditional tour and $25 for the enhanced tour, and are on sale now through the Corn Hill Neighbors Association or by calling 585-262-3142.
