On Thursday, January 19, 2012, the City of Rochester’s Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA) will hold a public hearing on the application by North American Breweries (NAB) to demolish 13 Cataract Street. The former Cataract Brewery Building is a Designated Building of Historic Value. The City’s Zoning Code prohibits the demolition of such designated structures.
NAB will present additional information requested by the ZBA at the last public hearing held in December. A decision is expected from the ZBA at this hearing.
13 Cataract Street is Case #7 on the ZBA agenda and will be presented after case #6, which will begin at 11:30 AM. See the Zoning Board of Appeals website for further information and a copy of the official agenda. Interested members of the public are encouraged to attend.
