Why would you want to preserve a rotted, run down building which could crumble from a bad storm which could randomly hit our area? Will your organization fund the clean up or the restoration of this site? If someone have the financial capability to turn that site into something that creates jobs,a more sound structure, I say let them. I understand people have reasons for wanting to preserve something our community for historic purposes, but this building looks like it is about to fall apart. I hope you people don't plan on giving tours of this building. Reason one being, not enough people will care to go on the tour, and not have cared about the building until this project came to light. Reason two being, a potential hazard for being inside the rotting building. The pros out weights the cons for letting the project to proceed.

Thank you for recognizing not only the work of Nellie Gardner but giving a little local History. My Husband and I moved to Spencerport in 1964 with two small children and two added as neighbors of Aunt Mae and Aunt Cora Stettner. These two wonderful women became friends and surragate Aunts to our children who played in the yard around the 300 year old tree. There house was a delight to me as I loved older homes. I was saddened by the deteriation during the previous ownership as this home always meant so much to the Stettner Family and those who new them. Thanks to Nellie and John for restoring it to it's previous grandeur. I am sure my old friends are smiling down on you today.

[...] The Landmark Society is not happy: Perhaps surprisingly to some, it is not merely the possibility of removal that is most disturbing, but it is the fact that no creative options have ever been fully discussed or considered to see this bridge in an innovative way. There have been no formal negotiations to consider the possibilities of how this resource could be reinvented or reconceived in a new use, instead of remaining what some consider a rusting eyesore. Knee-jerk conclusions have been drawn before any true thought has been given to options. Hojack Plaque [...]

I know you all are working diligently to try to save 13 Cataract from demolition. Do you have any latest news on the developments to try to reach a compromise with the brewery as the 30 day deadline approaches?
